Maho beach is situated on the Dutch side of the Caribbean Island. What differentiates this beach from others is that the Princess Juliana International Airport is adjacent to the beach and since it has a short runway, arriving aircrafts must touch down as close as possible to the beginning of the runway, causing the plane to fly low as possible over the beach at minimal altitude.
This makes it a very popular tourist destination as it is one of the few places in the world where aircrafts can be viewed in their flight path just outside the runway. Despite warning signs about departing aircrafts, most people find it the most thrilling part. You have to watch your bags too as they will blown away into the water, but I do not know how people seem to enjoy been jet blasted with sand, but what is this life without some form of drama anyway?
